Tornadoes and such!

Well, it's been a good week with some crazy events!

Look at this cute little bowl!  Our HS Art Department puts on "Empty Bowls" each year, in which there are handmade pottery bowls and soup, and all proceeds go to fight hunger!  I was so excited to get this cute one today.

Yesterday we had an exciting afternoon, as a tornado ripped through Iowa and hit fairly close to us!  Lots of tree damage and some house damage as well.  We didn't have anything happen, except a bench on our front porch ended up in the back yard!  School got out early because of the impending severe weather, which hasn't happened in all of our years of education (except for snow, of course).

This was a tree close to to downtown.

A tree fell on our neighbor's garage! :(
We had the neighborhood crew to drive around and assess the damage after!
Don't worry, I was prepared and not scared!  :).
Zach was not happy about the wearing of the bike helmet!
Before the scary afternoon, I was able to try a fun coffee shop with friends!
It was sure yummy, but not better than our local coffeeshop, Zoetic!
Brady has turned into a 30 year old this week, golfing at any chance he can get as the course opened, and having dinner at Big Grove!  Lucky guy!
Mallory had her first track meet this week and it was COLD!
She did a great job running some mid-distance events, including the 4x800 and the 4x400!
She also finished up jazz choir this week!  It was a fun season for her!

Zach and I are trying to eat healthy and more protein!  I made a lot of jars of overnight oats which everyone ate up quickly!
And finally, our last volleyball picture of the year!

Here's hoping for some warmer temps and less severe storms!

I think Brady's golf obsession is more like a 70 year old! There are a ton of them down here; he'd fit right in.

Love ya all, glad your house survived that strong tornado, scary.
